How to HelpParticipate. Volunteer. Donate...

Get Involved

We are an all-volunteer organization. Members of Friends of the Livermore Library love to read and discuss ideas, and we’re eager to help our Library serve the community. We accomplish this by gathering donated materials and selling those materials in our bookstores. Some of the donated materials wind up on the Library bookshelves, supplementing their collection.

Join our organization. With membership comes pride of helping your community. Membership has other rewards, too: Each member receives on their membership card a specific amount to be spent at our Civic Center Bookstore. You will also receive our award winning newsletter “Footnotes” filled with interesting articles, news and a calendar of upcoming events. Membership Application.

Donate your books, videos, CDs, or magazines by bringing them to our bookstore at the Civic Center Library or dropping them in the donation bin located in the staff parking lot. If you have a large collection to donate, please first call the bookstore at (925) 373-5520. We regret we cannot accept textbooks or encyclopedias.
